Dyshari

Dyshari is a UK-based charity established by a collective of British Asian doctors and lawyers, united by a commitment to deliver practical medical support, educational resources, and logistical aid to marginalized and socially excluded communities across Bangladesh. The brand identity needed to be deeply anchored in Bangladeshi cultural heritage, yet sufficiently universal to engage audiences in the UK and USA for fundraising and advocacy.

The Challenge

To authentically reflect the rich ethnic traditions of Bangladesh while crafting a visual identity that resonates with UK-based funders, as Dyshari launches its charitable mission.

Design Concept

The marque draws inspiration from the blue robin magpie, Bangladesh’s national bird. Composed of a repeating motif of smaller birds in varying shades of blue, the design symbolizes the many young women who stand to benefit from Dyshari’s initiatives. The charity’s core mission is to foster health and wellbeing education across underserved communities—empowering individuals to teach and uplift one another in a cascading model of shared knowledge.

Visual Considerations

The identity required a visual language that is both empathetic and impactful—capable of engaging audiences with varying levels of literacy, while remaining sensitive to the often politically nuanced contexts in which it operates. The result is a brand expression that is culturally respectful, emotionally resonant, and strategically positioned to inspire support across diverse geographies.
